Worby Course in Advanced Trial Practice at his alma mater, Villanova Law School, where he is also a Senior Member of the Development Leadership Council. David works tirelessly for various charities and has received numerous community service awards such as the Westchester Community Opportunity Program Community Service Award, the UJA Federation Westchester Business and Leadership Annual Award, the Phoenix House Annual Community Service Award, and the Yeshiva Ohr Hameir of Westchester Community Annual Service Award. William H. GronerBringing extensive trial experience to the Managing Partner’s role, Bill supervises all firm litigations, trials and settlements. He has been personally involved in client recoveries in excess of 1 billion dollars. In addition to supervising the firm’s general negligence, medical malpractice and product liability litigations, Bill is also co-managing the firm’s pending mass tort lawsuit involving over 10,000 rescue and recovery workers who are ill from their exposure to toxins at Ground Zero, in which he was a principal negotiator and which was recently settled for over 800 Million Dollars.

Bill is a frequent statewide lecturer on all aspects of personal injury practice and law and has made numerous radio and TV appearances including ABC’s 20-20, CNN (Worldwide), Good Day NY, Fox 5, CBS and NBC. Michael L. Taub

Michael L. TaubBetter known as the firm's "law man", Michael L. Taub is manager of the firm's appeal and motion unit, and handles complex procedural and substantive issues at Worby Groner Edelman, LLP. Michael is also head of the firms' Surrogate's and Infant's Compromise Unit, supervising all compromise petitions in the settlement of infant and estate cases. He simultaneously manages compliance matters for the firm. Michael has successfully handled and resolved numerous matters through mediation and arbitration. Michael's mastery of complicated legal theories and fact patterns has led to great success in convincing reluctant carriers of the real value of his cases during settlement negotiations. Joel B. Savit

Joel B. SavitAs a trial attorney, Joel B. Savit has handled some of the most high-profile personal injury lawsuits in New York. He served as prosecutor for numerous well publicized cases, including the Happy Land Social Club fire, the City College stampede, the Robert Chambers "Preppie" murder, the Avianca plane crash, and the first World Trade Center terrorist attack.

Quickly gaining recognition among the personal injury attorneys in White Plains, Westchester County, and throughout New York, Joel became one of the youngest trial attorneys to achieve a million dollar verdict in New York and one of the youngest to have his summation taped for nationwide distribution. Michael G. Del Vecchio

In 2009, Michael graduated with honors from Pace University School of Law, where he served on the Editorial Board of the Pace International Law Review. While at Pace, Michael earned top five finishes in the regional rounds of the American Bar Association 2008 Negotiation Competition, as well as the 2009 Representation in Mediation Competition.

A resident of Dutchess County, Michael appears in court on a regular basis in Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess and Orange Counties. In addition, Michael assists the firm’s specialized practice units at both the trial and appellate levels, as well as managing his own caseload. Sam Rosmarin

Of Counsel

Sam Rosmarin is the Chair of our Medical Malpractice Department.  He attended Cornell University and the Boston University School of Law. He heads a team of attorneys and paralegals experienced in litigating complex, catastrophic personal injury matters involving medical errors.  He developed his expertise in this field by representing Columbia Presbyterian medical Center for 15 years.  He has spent the last 20 years pursuing medical malpractice claims on behalf of victims and their families.  His experience on both sides of this area of law provides him with unique familiarity with the process and with the attorneys and insurance carriers defending these actions and has allowed him to achieve 40 settlements of at least $1 million.  He also received the highest jury award ($20 million) in a New York medical malpractice lawsuit in 2010.

Mr. Rosmarin was described by a juror in one of his trials, who wrote a magazine article about that trial, as follows: “[W]e know, when it’s his turn, that he’ll be brief, that he’ll go in and extract testimony he needs with the precision of a surgeon.”

Paul A. Barrese, Sr.

Paul A. Barrese, Sr.Mr. Barrese has worked for the law firm for over thirty years, in the capacity as office executive as well as President of Carrington Claims Co., Ltd, the law firm’s private investigation company. He is licensed and bonded in the State of New York. Prior to joining the Worby law firm, Mr. Barrese was the Claim Manager for The Hartford Insurance Group heading up their Westchester County Claim office. Mr. Barrese’s responsibilities include the day to day management of the firm, overseeing investigations, supervising the signing up of all new plaintiffs, managing attorney office meetings and assisting in the overall administration of the law firm. Mr. Barrese also works directly with the Senior Partner, David Worby in managing all of the most serious cases in the office.
